I've used this mower for my Standard Poodle for about 6 months now - I know that his feet and face at least once a month - and it's good for all our needs. I have never taken him to a groomer and have a show dog friends and pro groomers tell that he looks good with just the mountain we do with this clipper. All editors will be hot - it's simply a law of physics: two pieces of metal rub together at high speed causing the heat. I have extra blades and a damp cloth nearby, when the blade gets hot. If you find Clipper "was dragged through the coat" it may be the same thing happened to me when I first got it - the magazine was not snapped in place properly, and it was not cut at all. For my poodle, this Clipper fantastic and the price can not be beat!
